Maximalism scares people because they picture clutter. But the most striking rooms are usually one brave gesture surrounded by calm — a single saturated object doing the work of ten.
Start with the table. Ground it on a soft, low-contrast rug so the colour lifts. Pull one accent from the tiles into the room — a red spine, a rose bloom — and stop there.
Everything else earns its place by being quiet: warm neutrals, honest materials, a little negative space. The boldness reads as intention, not noise.
